The bed was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was okay, but the rest of our stay was rough. The first-floor room facing the parking lot was so dark with the shades drawn that every light on still only made it dim. It smelled musty, and the refrigerator made a racket like a tractor trailer. The freezer was thick with ice, so I turned its dial down. It quieted at 3:30 a.m., then started up again, and I unplugged it. Soon after, noise from upstairs kept us awake. We had booked three nights. I checked out in the morning and asked for a refund for the unused nights. I was charged for just one night, but at $154. I was told the rate for the other nights would have been lower the longer we stayed. I never would have booked that room at $154. The manager knew the refrigerators often caused this problem, but didn't offer to replace it. Leaving it unplugged would have meant a lot of melting. I found a nearby hotel at a better rate that was modern, bright, fresh, and quiet, with a helpful staff. When we returned to pack around 9:30 a.m., Quality staff were outside talking. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The room booking was another mess. I reserved two rooms with double beds on the hotel's website, but somehow that became one double and three kings. They had no double rooms available to correct it, so I'll have to see whether they fix this or whether I need to dispute it with my credit card company. We were there two days for a graduation at Ft wood. The shower's hot water lasted about two minutes, and there was black mold in the shower and on the curtain. The so-called free breakfast was yogurt and plain Cheerios for both days. Biscuits and gravy showed up but ran out in about ten minutes, and nobody refilled them. Unless you're on a budget and can't afford better, stay somewhere else. I figure the place survives because of Ft wood traffic. I'm sure they'll respond, but similar reviews from the past six months describe the same problems, and they still seem not to care.

The free breakfast was bare bones, with only dry cereal and waffles stocked. The room was noisy too: thin walls let in freeway and parking lot sounds all night, while the fridge and HVAC made a ton of noise. The shower's hot water was erratic, and the toilet wouldn't flush. At check-in nobody was at the desk for 15 minutes. I booked because the hotel was rated 4/5, but should've read more recent reviews. I'd definitely avoid this place in the future.

The staff were all very friendly, and there was plenty of parking. The bed and pillows were fine, and I had no trouble with the hot water, though I saw that other reviews mentioned problems. Breakfast was a little better than some I've had at 2 or 3 star hotels, but nothing out of the ordinary. It's an okay, no-frills hotel. The furniture is dated, the fridge didn't stay cool, and the air conditioning worked but was extremely loud.
