Laurel Inn Motel

I felt discriminated against by the big girl with glasses at the front desk. She said her manager wasn't there, then the manager came out from the back. They claimed the room wasn't clean and didn't act professionally. The big girl smiled and laughed at us, and couldn't have a grown-up conversation. I recorded the whole thing. The manager can't control his staff, and now he's trying to put me on the do not rent list because of my friends. We're from out of town by the beach, and I don't understand how this is okay. This is discrimination.

The freeway was close, and the location suited us. There was decent parking, a continental breakfast, and a seafood restaurant nearby. The metal bed frame made noise whenever we moved, which got annoying, and the shower took about 20 minutes to warm up. It worked for a one-night stay.

There was a lot of yelling at night, so I wouldn't really recommend staying here. The front desk people were very nice, though, and the pillows were the best part of the whole experience.

I booked a room two weeks ahead and clearly chose a room with [two beds or whatever the correct room type was]. The confirmation email even had an image of that room type. But at check-in, I was told only one-bed rooms were available. I showed the confirmation number and the image, but the front desk agent just said, “In my system, it shows one bed.” They didn't apologize or try to sort it out.
