For generations this family-run motel has been part of Route 1, with the beach and New Hampshire line nearby. It suits summer visitors and fall foliage road-trippers, and it has kept its vintage feel while making quiet updates. The Knotty Pine Motel is just inland from Salisbury Beach, welcoming travelers since the 1950s. Its retro sign, pine-paneled rooms, and neat courtyard pool bring back the roadside motel era, when a clean room, neon glow, and shore access were enough. Oh shug, what a nice place! My husband Barry and I had a great room before heading back home. We enjoyed the stay and can't wait to come back on our next voyage! 🥰👍

This family-owned motel is so professional and polite, and I always feel welcome, like part of the family ☺️. They're courteous and work with you if you're running late for checkout. The outdoor pool is very clean, probably one of the best I've ever swum in. Thank you so much to the Knotty Pine family 🙏❤️

The room reeked of tobacco smoke, and the place feels very outdated. It was also way overpriced. I wouldn't recommend spending your money here.

The doors barely locked, there was broken glass in the pool, and we found cockroaches and long black hairs in the towels. Disgusting.
