Rachel was such a friendly host, and we stayed in the lovely, spotless room with the wolf-painting. Sure, this isn't the Waldorf Astoria, but after a long day on the road, a comfortable clean bed and a warm welcome are all I need. We'll stay here again next time we're in the area. Thanks, Rachel!

The mattress was good and, for the price, the stay was okay, but I had to do some cleaning just to feel comfortable living there. The floor was so dirty that I asked for a mop on our first day, and there wasn't a broom in the room. Both the bathroom and kitchenette sinks were dirty, the kitchenette wall needed wiping, and the room had a lot of insects, especially spiders. In room #13, the sink wasn't secured to the wall, and I nearly knocked it off its pedestal when I went into the dark bathroom during the night. The kitchenette didn't have the full-size refrigerator I thought I'd booked. There were two coffee pods, but the ones we bought wouldn't work in that machine. We had two towels, one hand towel, and two washcloths, all very plain. Rachelle, who I assumed was the owner or manager, was nice and seemed willing to help me get a mop, but I only saw her that once. There were occupied camp trailers behind the hotel where people seemed to live full time. The price was okay, but the cleaning and spider problems need attention.

The woman who checked us in was quick, courteous, and very helpful with suggestions for food and entertainment. We were happy with our New Year's Eve stay: the room was clean and comfortable, and the bed and pillows were excellent. We'd definitely return.

I arrived at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and couldn't find anyone in the office. Over the weekend I didn't see staff except for a cleaner, whose little daughter was running around the place. The room itself was disappointing and short on amenities: one stained towel and only two coffee pods for two people staying two nights. The bathroom was in rough shape, with lots of dust under the bed and some trash. With the weather in the single digits, daylight coming in all around the door made the room very cold. The heater thermostat seemed faulty and wouldn't stop at the set temperature, so I had to keep getting up all night to switch it on and off.
