The room had high-quality products that were good for the skin, and the gym and heated pool were open around the clock. Breakfast was delicious too. Very satisfied with the customer service.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with friendly service and plenty to choose from. There were red velvet waffles when I was there, plus toppings like syrup, Cool Whip, caramel, nuts, and chocolate. I also had the tropical mango water, which was delicious. They had oatmeal with brown sugar, nuts and raisins, yogurt, apples, cereal, boiled eggs, omelet-style eggs with taco sauce and ketchup, hash browns, pork links, breads and bagels with spreads, muffins, and lemon poppyseed and blueberry pastry bites. Drinks included water, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and hot water. The coffee machine had flavored options I didn’t try. The decorations were fun. The pool and hot tub are indoors, though we didn’t use them. There’s a lot of room in the gym, with treadmills, bikes, an elliptical, a weight bench, a pull-down multi-use machine, kettlebells, weighted balls, balance balls, TRX straps, foam rollers, yoga mats, a box, a scale, mirrors, towels, and water. I counted three treadmills and two bikes. There was also a large exercise ball and a rack of weights from 5 to 75 pounds. The bed was really comfortable to me, and there were pillows with different firmness levels. The room had lots of outlets, including some newer USB ones, plus a table with a sliding chair and a small entertainment center. We didn’t use the TV. Someone mentioned the closet was split by the window and looked like it could hold four things, though I didn’t check. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door that doesn’t close all the way. I liked that it kept the room from getting too hot and humid while drying off. The bathroom lighting was great, but the rest of the room could use more. There are two switches at the entrance, and I couldn’t tell what one controlled; there are also two small bedside lights. One caveat: the first and second floors are being remodeled now, and I was told floors three and four and the whole lobby would be redone in the next month. If renovation issues bother you, you may want to skip it for now. I don’t know what our group paid, but my experience was very positive.

The room and beds were comfortable, the staff were very nice, and we had a great stay. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed the clean pool and hot tub. I’d definitely come back.

The gym was spacious and had all the equipment I could want. Our room was roomy too, with two clean beds and lots of hangers and places to put things. Inside, the hotel was clean and pleasant, and the front desk team gave great service. Breakfast had plenty of hot options, and the little scones were delicious. At first I wasn’t sure about the location. The street looked busy, while the blocks around it seemed empty, so it felt like a transitional area. But we could walk to the park, the Saturday farmers market, and Urban Hill for a fantastic dinner just around the corner. Most places were easy to reach on foot and felt pretty safe. There are homeless people around, though I guess that’s common in Salt Lake City now. I’d highly recommend the hotel and location, and I’ll stay here again.

The room was fine, but I booked online at a confirmed rate and expected the UofU hospital discount since we’re here for medical reasons. At the last minute, Hampton Inn said they wouldn’t honor it because the hotel was 80% full. Their explanation didn’t make sense.
