Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cooperstown

IHG, please read to the end and take notice of the GEM you have here. We paid much less than at the other hotels in town, but this place was updated, clean, and very friendly. The attendant who greeted us took her time answering questions and sharing brochures. Later in the day, she even refreshed the decaf coffee for us. I normally bring an extra cushion because my hips hurt, and I usually wake at least twice a night. This bed was so comfortable I slept right through. There was a long countertop across nearly two-thirds of the wall opposite the bed, with a desk on wheels tucked underneath that pulled out for a computer. We rolled it across the room and set it over the coffee table, so we could use it as a dinner table from the sofa. The large bathroom was modern and clean, and the HUMONGOUS wall-mounted TV let us connect our computer and watch movies. Some hotels don't allow that. The breakfast was the best part, thanks to Amy. We got there 15 minutes early for coffee because we're early birds, and she was chatting with us as she filled the steam table. She was super friendly and has a hearty laugh you just love. I had IHG's famous cinnamon rolls while waiting, and Amy had them warm with the lid open so they wouldn't get soggy. I've had cold or soggy ones before, but these were neither. The potato cubes were hot with crispy outsides, not lukewarm, limp, or burnt like I've often had elsewhere. Instead of the egg-white omelets many hotel chains serve, Amy made a tasty ham and cheese souffle with a slightly crispy top. I went back for seconds. Everything on the steam table, including the pork sausage, was hot. The pancakes were fluffier, thicker, and browner than ones we've had before. I don't know if it's the settings or a changed recipe, but they were better. She'd also made some ahead and put them in the steam table for anyone who didn't want to wait in line at the machine. IHG, you have a real GEM here. I hope you take this seriously and have her mentor other breakfast preparers. I think it'll help you build a stronger following. I'd pay to come here for breakfast, and I'll definitely be back again and again!

The hotel was clean and quiet, and the rooms were in good repair. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good.

We had a great stay at this quiet, clean hotel. The rooms were updated, the beds and pillows comfortable, and the pool and hot tub area was super cute. There were lots of breakfast choices, and restaurants were close by.

The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice, and the dining area was really pretty. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was excellent. If I could change one thing, I'd ask for firmer pillows.
