After a very long day of travel, my wife and daughter arrived at night to find their room dirty and not fit to stay in. There was hair in the bathroom and stains on the carpet and bedspread. They packed the car and found a clean place about 15 minutes away. The staff weren’t especially helpful.

It was fine for one night, though the place feels a little old. They’re updating things, so I expect it’ll be nicer in the future.

The staff were really nice and helpful, but the building was full of construction, with dirt and debris all over the hallways. Breakfast was the most limited free hotel breakfast I’ve had: eggs, cereal, muffins, and toast, with no waffle maker like most places offering free breakfast. The rooms felt outdated and run down, and there wasn’t even a mini fridge. We only found that out after bringing back leftovers, which we had to throw away. People were loud and partying past midnight. At over $200 for two nights, it didn’t feel worth it to me. It felt like a Motel 6.

The best part of our stay at Hotel SLC was leaving. The lobby looks nice, but the elevator and upper floors felt like the Bates Motel. The carpet was so dirty I felt like I needed a hazmat outfit, and a musty smell hit us as soon as the elevator opened. In our room it got even worse. There was mold on the bathroom walls, stains all over the furniture, and blood on the bathroom ceiling. That was only part of what was wrong. The hotel was simply disgusting.
