Suburban Studios San Angelo near Convention Center

I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. For the same price or a little more, there are other places for a nicer stay. Our room was nice but needed repairs, with paint missing from the bathroom door and black stains on the shower curtain. There was trash beside the bed by the nightstand, and the sheets had brown stains. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly; a maintenance man said the building had been built incorrectly, which caused the problem. Breakfast was disappointing and they ran short on food, leaving a lot of people upset. The hallways were extremely warm, and the elevator jolted whenever you selected the fifth floor. Hope this helps someone.

The room had an old mildew smell, and the toilet sat almost on the floor. The card keys didn’t work, so I had to make several trips downstairs to get that sorted out. Also, I couldn’t iron while the TV was on because one of the appliances would shut off.

I was shocked since I hadn’t seen bad reviews before booking. The place looks nice when you walk in, but the floors look very old and dirty. The rooms weren’t too bad, though there was only warm water, no hot water. Roaches were crawling around the waffle machines downstairs at breakfast. I saw them before eating and threw my plate away.

The staff were friendly, but the cleaning crew seemed to do the bare minimum. There were no dishes or cookware in the kitchenette, dust on every surface, and visible stains on the sheets and carpet. I also found long black hairs on the sheets and towels, and a roach crawled out of the sink.
