American Motel

The guy at the desk was great. We arrived at 10 pm without a reservation, and although the price online wasn’t what he quoted, I didn’t feel I could complain in northeast San Antonio. He even wanted us to look at the room before charging me. I’d been wary after seeing the one-star rating online, but the room was clean, stocked, and well kept. Even the smoking room smelled nice. They only have two rooms with double beds, so it was a little tight, but totally manageable. We’ll stay again. The rates and quality beat the other motels nearby, a real diamond in the rough. The fridge, microwave, and nice TV help make up for the limited outlets. The ones built into the lamps don’t work at all.

The staff were really nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great pressure and hot water. Everything was super clean. We travel to this area often, so we’ll definitely be back!

I needed a room on short notice, and the management accommodated me really well. They were professional, empathetic, and very helpful. The room felt private, and it was clean and comfortable. I’ll stay again and recommend the motel to friends and family. I wish I could give their customer service even more stars.

It gets really hot here in summer, and there’s no shade when you’re trying to handle a transaction. After I paid, the guy acted like he couldn’t give me a receipt. He said I’d get it after checkout, then gave me a hard time when I asked again. And last but not least, this place is definitely a roach motel.
