Best Western Medical Center North Inn & Suites Near Six Flags

After years of staying here dozens upon dozens of nights, I ended up canceling my reservation and going somewhere else. I’ve been a guest at the Best Western Medical Center for over five years, about 50 nights a year, and have always chosen it for convenience and my Best Western Rewards Diamond Member status. This last visit left me surprised and disappointed. I arrived late last week after a long day. I asked to leave the deposit in cash because my Mexican card can take up to 45 days to have a hold released by the bank. I already had three pending $100 USD deposit holds from recent stays. In the past, the hotel has accepted cash for the deposit, or placed a hold on my card. I’ve also paid for the room with one card and left the deposit on another. That night, a new employee refused every option except putting the deposit hold on the same card used for the room, even though this had never been a rule before. I explained how often I’d stayed there and that this had never been an issue. He showed no flexibility or empathy, and didn’t seem interested in checking my long-standing customer record. I believe hotels should value guests who’ve been loyal and consistently responsible, respectful and reliable. I hope management looks into this kind of situation. One employee’s poor judgment and customer service can ruin a stay and drive away long-term customers.

For a decent, quiet stay at a good value, I’d recommend this hotel. The location is handy, with a shopping plaza, movie theater and restaurants within a five minute walk. Walmart, Target, a Post office and plenty more shops and restaurants are within a two mile drive or less. Latoya, the manager, was great at her job. She checked me in, gave me a pool view room, and filled me in on the area, breakfast and pool hours. The room was spacious and comfortable, and that view was hard to beat. The bathroom is a good size, though the shower floor has a plastic insert that still looks a little iffy despite cleaning and use over time. The pool was clean and nice for a dip to cool off or relax, though it isn’t large and there’s no hot tub. Breakfast could be better, but it’s free and adds value. They had good biscuits, a do it yourself waffle station, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, turkey sausage links, juice, milk and coffee.

Brena at the front desk made my late arrival easy, and I was impressed by her customer service and knowledge of the area. She deserves a pay raise and a week of paid vacation 🙌 I loved this location. Booking, online check in and registration were all easy, too. Thank you for being you, Brena. You’re simply the best!

Loved our two restful nights here. The rooms were extremely clean and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly, efficient, professional and welcoming. The location is great, with lots of stores and restaurants nearby. A big plus is that they offer room service from several businesses.
