WoodSpring Suites Lackland near Sea World

The room was disgusting when I checked in: dirty floors, black mold throughout the bathroom, roaches everywhere, and a horrible stench that clung to my clothes. They even wanted collateral for clean towels. The employees were extremely rude and unprofessional. One man argued with me and threatened me. He said we had to leave a day early because we booked through Expedia, but I had reserved through my employer’s benefits and checkout was the next day. They also claimed there was no card on file, yet tried to authorize my card for an extra week I hadn’t agreed to. I got a fraud alert, and when I asked, they said they didn’t know how it happened. We kept being threatened with an early eviction, so I had to involve the police. The power went out outside the hotel as we approached the door, and our key card wouldn’t work. A tall, scraggly-looking employee saw us locked out and walked the other way. They advertise free WiFi, but it costs $15 per device per week, and the payment link doesn’t work anyway. There were lots of sketchy people coming and going, and the staff were no better. This was a horrible experience for my family and me. I can’t believe how bad it was. I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but avoid this place at all costs.
