Cityview Inn & Suites Downtown RiverCenter Area

After getting off Amtrak, we called around for a room and found this affordable, convenient place. We can actually see the Amtrak train from our room. The front desk clerk was really kind and helpful. We’ll make this our regular stop when we come in by train.

We booked a night after a concert at the Espee, and the location was just right, across the street from the Espee parking area. It’s a small, no-frills building, but our room was clean and the AC got nice and cold. The staff were friendly, and the price was affordable. I’d book here again for another concert.

Our room was tidy and clean, with no bugs or smells, plenty of towels, and working AC and heat. For the money, it was a good stay and I’d come back. Still, nobody cleaned the room or took out the trash during our three nights, which was disappointing. The lobby and elevator smelled every time we went through, and could use an air purifier. Our key also quit working before the 11 AM checkout, making it a hassle to load the car. The TV selection was thin, and half the channels only had audio.

For our event at the Alamodome, this was a handy place to stay. Getting around was quick and easy, and the main attractions were close by. The room was clean, the service friendly, and the price very affordable. My wife and I stayed one night this week and were happy with it.
