Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio North/Stone Oak at Legacy

Mold in the room and inside the shower caused my partner, who has pulmonary problems, to struggle to breathe. The layout was awkward, with a whirlpool tub in the middle of the room and a walk-in shower. The room already cost $259 per night, yet we also had to pay extra for a bottle of water. We left the morning of 2/12/2026 for a pre-scheduled doctor’s appointment and told staff we would check out after we finished at the hospital. The administration still refused to credit us for the unused night and charged another $239 for an additional night.

I booked three rooms for my family, each with breakfast included, and was charged every day for each room because I ordered “premium drinks” instead of the small coffee covered by breakfast. Nobody had explained that to me. When I later raised it in a hotel review and called the practice somewhat dishonest, I got an AI apology saying they’d communicate better, which didn’t help me. Check carefully what breakfast includes before adding it to your booking.

The location worked really well for our trip, and there’s a nice strip mall within walking distance. Everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a very nice stay and I highly recommend it.

We woke up to construction overhead at 8:45 AM on two mornings, and we had our room changed several times. The dusty, cheap pillows gave my wife and me skin allergies. The place also has old, dirty carpets, warped bathroom doors that won’t close, and old, foggy, paper-thin windows. I won’t be coming back.
