The gated parking, reserved for guests, was a plus, and the location was convenient for both the airport and North Star Mall. The hotel also looked recently renovated, with furniture in good shape. Breakfast was complete and already included, so it felt worth the price difference. The coffee was especially good, and staff were kind, even letting guests know about five minutes before closing so they could still get what they needed. Cleanliness fell noticeably short of the other two Holiday Inn hotels I stayed at within a month. The room was very clean on the first day, but after that housekeeping only made the bed. Body lotion and shampoo weren't replenished, and it was clear the floor wasn't swept or vacuumed. When I asked about cleaning, staff weren't sure whether daily service was included. The bathroom extractor fan didn't work, and neither did the shower. Good value overall, but those issues stand out when comparing it with other Holiday Inn properties.

The breakfast is a real highlight, with plenty to choose from and even a fun machine that makes pancakes automatically. I’m usually working and don’t get a chance to use the pool, but whenever I pass it the water looks bright blue and the area looks clean. I’ve been back at least monthly over the past year, and the staff have been consistently wonderful. I know several of them by name, and they remember me too. Check-in is always simple, especially with the free rewards membership. On a few visits, school groups were staying there, including a debate team and a swim team. The hotel placed their rooms thoughtfully so they wouldn’t disturb other guests, even with large groups of teenagers around. The rooms are clean and newly renovated, the location is convenient, and the rates are good. I don’t write reviews often, but this place has earned a detailed recommendation.

The hotel shuttle made it easy to get around the area within about a mile, including restaurants, North Star Mall (5 stars), and the airport. Our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast hit the spot. From check-in with Aylin through the rest of our stay, everyone on staff was incredibly welcoming. I won't stay anywhere else in San Antonio again!

We got all of this for a reasonable price: a great room and hotel, excellent breakfast, and free snacks and drinks during evening happy hour. The staff were great too. It was the best hotel stay I’ve had in years, and everything felt about as close to perfect as it could.

Sabrina and Victoria deserve a big thank you for the spectacular service during my two nights there, 11.16 and 11.17.2025. I’ll definitely come back and highly recommend the hotel to anyone passing through San Antonio. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the showers hot. Breakfast had an outstanding range of choices. There are also lots of restaurants nearby, and San Antonio's North Star Mall is conveniently close. Bravo, and thank you!
