We still enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the location was fairly close to the activities we had planned, and the pool across the street was lovely. The staff even moved some amenities to the downstairs sitting room, which was very kind. The one thing I'd love to see return is a hot breakfast. They used to serve one before COVID, then switched to continental breakfast in the room. I'd be happy to pay extra for a hot meal in the morning. The room mix-up was disappointing, though. We'd booked the Oge Chinoiserie, and a couple of friends were considering joining us, so we checked online and were surprised to see our room available for our dates. I called to confirm, and the owner, Don, explained that someone else had booked the top two floors after our reservation, so they'd upgraded us to the Blenheim Suite. I was a little bummed because I'd been looking forward to the Oge Chinoiserie, though the suite had more upgrades and was nice. Then, when we arrived, they told us the top floors would be off limits for two of our four nights because of a private party. We had planned to use the amenities up there and spend time in that part of the house, so that was upsetting. When I raised it with Lisa, she said we had more amenities than we'd originally paid for. That's true, but at this hotel you pick a particular room because each one has its own style. We'd have been perfectly happy with the smaller Oge Chinoiserie we booked.

The beds lived up to the anticipation, and breakfast was worth getting up for. Our room was cozy, nicely decorated, and suited the character of the graceful old home. We've had mixed luck with period homes. We like supporting historic preservation, but renovating and maintaining old buildings is expensive, and they can't be expected to have all the fixtures and systems of a modern home. Too often we've left a bit disappointed. That wasn't the case at the Oge House. We loved learning about and experiencing the history of this grand old home. The staff were friendly without inserting themselves into our business unless we started the conversation, which suited us. Don and Lisle have a lovely home and a good system for keeping guests comfortable. Thanks for a great stay and for making our week in San Antonio so good!

The bed was extremely comfortable, with skylights right above it. The room itself was pretty small and had a sloped roof, but the staff were very friendly. Staying in this Victorian era house felt more personal than a regular hotel. The owners like to chat with guests, and one of them served us breakfast for several days. There were interesting pictures throughout the building, plus a common room with complimentary cookies, wine, and other drinks. I was tempted to try the spa but didn't get around to it. It's definitely an experience I'd recommend trying.

I loved the privacy and comfort of my room at the Jackson House. It felt like a beautiful home away from home, with an old fashioned romantic style carried through every detail. The breakfasts were superb. I'm not usually much of a breakfast person, but these home-cooked meals, made perfectly in the adjoining kitchen, had me looking forward to each one. The bed and breakfasts sit in a quiet, historic neighborhood that feels miles from downtown San Antonio, but the Convention Center was only a 10-15 minute walk away, perfect for the convention I attended. The staff were kind, understanding, and eager to make each person's stay exceptional. I enjoyed it so much and am already looking forward to staying at a Noble Inn again. I'd highly recommend one of the Noble Inns if you get the chance.

We rented every room in the carriage house for our group of nine, and the staff did a great job arranging breakfast and sleeping accommodations. They're incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's also perfectly placed for walking to downtown or Southtown activities along the river. The pool beside the carriage house was a lovely oasis after hot days, away from the busy tourist trap. I took off a star because the furnishings were worn out, and one toilet still wouldn't flush even after staff said it had been fixed. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
