The rooms were nice for the price, and the location was excellent, just steps from the river walk and very close to San Fernando Cathedral. Niche, near the lobby, had amazing coffee and bakery items, and the food at the Gavel restaurant was good for a quick breakfast or bite before heading out. We booked 3 nights through Expedia, which can be risky, but luckily everything went well. We arrived before the 4:00 pm check-in and they offered to hold our belongings until the room was ready. Valet was almost $40 for a full day, a bit expensive beside the nearby lots and public spaces, though those didn't seem as safe as parking inside the hotel. I worried the pool nearby would be a problem, but there was a white noise machine in the room that helped a lot. A very nice hotel and a great experience overall, highly recommended.

Stay away. The property and location are good, but management is horrendous. We booked two nights for our anniversary and wish we'd gone somewhere else. The refrigerator in our room was frozen over and needed replacing. The shower exhaust fan cover was packed with lint, so with the door shut the bathroom filled with steam. Soap dispensers kept falling off the walls because their double tape needed re-gluing. And that was only the start. We requested room service for our two-day stay and left the marker on the door. When we returned on the second day, they'd only brought towels. They hadn't swept the floor, emptied the trash, or changed the sheets. That evening I asked for fresh sheets and bed service. They said they'd bring sheets for us to change ourselves. The next day I contacted the general manager, who was extremely rude. I'll post a link to our recorded conversation here. Unbelievable. Don't stay here.

Kate, the hotel manager, was incredibly responsive and attentive when she helped me sort out a situation. She went above and beyond to resolve it smoothly and professionally, and I felt valued as a guest. This is a beautiful luxury hotel, and thanks to Kate's time and care, I'm really looking forward to staying there soon. Thank you, Kate!

First they wouldn't park my truck because it was too long, then said it was too big. The woman I spoke with on the phone had told me it would be fine. For two days they also couldn't get the A/C down to 68, and moving to another room made no difference. The room safes were there, but neither worked, and the front desk openly said they knew about the problem. They offered to keep things at the front desk instead. Who wants that? Terrible place. I'll never be back.
