The Ricchi Luxury Condos of San Antonio

The Ricchi Condominiums feels like a little retreat in the middle of the city, and I felt relaxed and at home there. I especially enjoyed the spotless, peaceful pool, which felt almost private and was great for sunbathing, reading, or unwinding. The barbecue area was comfortable for casual get-togethers, and the cozy gym worked well for a quick workout. I loved staying here and highly recommend it.

We love living here. Restaurants and shops are nearby, and in our opinion it’s the best place to live in San Antonio. The staff are friendly and cooperative, and they keep everything spotlessly clean all the time.

Two years later, Google reminded me of this review, and I’m still upset. Linda never responded to my post. The only reply she made to someone else included an insult suggesting a tenant couldn’t afford to live there. My landlord eventually sold their two units to avoid dealing with Linda and what I saw as her heavy handed, unethical use of fines against owners’ tenants. I would have bought a unit at the Ricchi if she hadn’t treated me the way she did. She’s laughable. Way to go, Linda. Karen is a better name for you. Good riddance. I rented a unit for six months as a trial before deciding whether to buy. In the first six weeks, I was charged more than $2000.00 in fines for activities that weren’t prohibited by the rules I received when I moved in. When I raised it, the HOA gave me updated rules that added prohibited activities, apparently to justify the fines. You can’t make this stuff up. Linda is the problem, in my view. She combines arrogance with incompetence. I’m suing this ridiculous place and expect them to pay my attorneys fees. Someone has to stand up to them. Don’t lease here, and certainly don’t buy here. I built a home instead of buying a unit at the Ricchi.

The building grounds were maintained, the pool was nice, and our room had a pretty view. But the condo’s cleanliness and presentation made an already disappointing stay worse. I found at least three burned out bulbs without even looking for them, and after the wrong guests had been allowed into our room, I didn’t feel entirely safe. We were left outside in the San Antonio heat for an hour past check-in, with children and perishable groceries. Other guests were in our room, apparently because of poor security protocols. They were removed in a hurry and the room was quickly cleaned. When we asked about the sheets, the manager shrugged as if to say sorry and didn’t want to change them because the other guests had only been there an hour or two. That felt pretty gross. The company in FL that books the rooms was pleasant, but seemed to have little influence or to be misled by the on-site team. The Ricchi was close to where we needed to be, but I regretted suggesting it after my wife had picked another property with more room and amenities. For the money, there are better options with a less frustrating experience.
