Motel 6 San Bernardino, CA - Downtown

We arrived at 1 a.m. on 02/22/26 and got poor service from the rude woman at the front desk. The room she gave us smelled awful and was full of cockroaches, so we went somewhere else. I’ll never go back to this motel.

The train screeched all night, and our room had at least 10 flies. There was a clump of hair in the bathroom drain, and the toilet and sink looked like they’d been painted. No shampoo, and the towels were completely inadequate. I guess you get what you pay for. Motel 6s have really gone downhill.

The place is very active, and the rooms are on the larger side but look run down. In my experience, something is always broken, whether it’s the AC, TV, or a leaky sink. The check-in policy sucks.

At 3 a.m., several cars came into the lot shouting and creating chaos. People looked into other guests’ cars, and the front office staff did nothing. There’s no security presence. Local prostitutes and their pimps seem to use the property as a meetup spot, yelling in the lot without regard for guests. It wasn’t quiet until around 4:30 a.m., so sleep before then was nearly impossible. Even arriving felt unsettling. Prostitutes were visibly standing by stop signs near the property, and sketchy people in a car were screaming right outside the motel. Across the street, drug activity and prostitution were happening openly at the gas station. I felt in danger, not just uncomfortable. I’d never stay here again and urge others to avoid it.
