Motel 6 San Bernardino, CA - South

By far the worst Motel 6 I’ve been to. The rooms smell terrible, there’s no microwave, and they don’t offer quarters for laundry. The blankets have cigarette burns, and the furniture and floors are damaged. Employees are rude, lazy, and untrustworthy, and barely understand English. There are homeless-looking people everywhere. Such a sad, disgusting place.

It was very busy and a bit noisy for a Thursday night, though the staff were good and this felt like a reliable Motel 6. The dog area had plenty of bags, but no one was using them. Pet parents, come on, that spot needs a little attention.

The key cards have been a constant problem. In two days, we’ve gone to the office at least 15 times to have them “remagnified.” We keep them away from phones and wallets, and even after they remagnified a few, one still didn’t work. The daytime woman at the counter acts like we’re bothering her when we bring in the bad cards, but the evening guy is much more sympathetic. There’s no microwave in the rooms, and the only one in the whole complex is in the office. The shower pressure is minimal, and the sink faucet sprayed all over the counter. We cleaned the screen at the bottom and stopped most of the stray spray. Worst Motel 6 ever!

My boyfriend and I were really disappointed. We walked in and were hit with cigarette smoke. The floors hadn’t been swept or mopped, and the toilet and shower were dirty with hair all over. The bedding was gross, and the room’s power strip didn’t work, so we couldn’t charge our phones. Worst location I’ve ever been to.
