I’ve never reviewed an apartment complex before, but wow. Termites, package theft, and a lot of other problems. The cleaning ladies and maintenance men are very kind, though. Management seems to be the issue. We’ve had termites in our kitchen drawers and cabinets since moving in almost two years ago, and they were already there when we moved in. After we complained about it for the third time or so, they did a heat treatment. We kept finding droppings afterward, and pest control came out again many times, I believe six times in total. The last time, I told them how frustrated I was that nothing changed after they left. They said their job was to photograph the droppings and report them to management. So this had been reported repeatedly since the heat treatment failed, but management still hadn’t fixed it. We’ve spoken to several people in the office, including the leasing manager, who told me, “it’s not poop, it’s wood.” I’ve put in yet another maintenance request and have been trying to tape up the termite holes myself. Packages have gone missing from our door and the mail room. We’ve also found opened packages in the mail room that looked rummaged through. I guess they didn’t want my Amazon cleaning supplies. There have been plenty of other issues too. Management took months to renew our lease, so we had to pay month-to-month rent. I got that credited back, but it’s the principle. The fire alarm went off inside our apartment, and maintenance didn’t come to change the batteries until a day or two later. I can’t reach my ceiling. I reported the refrigerator freezing up more than five times, losing groceries each time, and maintenance thawed it with a hairdryer until it was finally replaced. Other residents have had the police called on them repeatedly for fighting and screaming. People throw garbage on the ground throughout the complex, and the sweet older cleaning ladies have to pick it up. An alarm also beeped extremely loudly outside apartment doors for three weeks straight. And the list goes on. Do not rent here.
