Extended Stay America Suites San Diego Fashion Valley

Beatriz made me feel welcome from start to finish. She was kind, professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Her care and attention to detail made the stay memorable, and I'd absolutely come back and recommend the hotel. I couldn't have been happier with my visit. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the amenities made things relaxing. The location also made it easy to get around.

Beatriza turned the stay around for me. She took good care of me, and Room 111 was cozy, comfortable, and felt like home. That ended up being the best part of the visit. At first, the place didn't look much like the online photos. The outside wasn't very clean, and breakfast wasn't available even though the website said it was included. Things felt different from what I expected, but thanks to Beatriza the experience ended up much better than it began.

There was only coffee, with no muffins or other breakfast items as advertised. The room itself was spacious, clean, and nice, with a two-burner cooktop, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. Kitchen supplies have to be ordered ahead, though, so those features aren't much use if you don't know that in advance. I did at least make microwave popcorn. Check-in and checkout staff were polite and friendly. I only stayed one night, but would recommend it.

The hotel was quiet overall, and I didn't hear much commotion. I only booked one night at the last minute, and Ricky at the front desk was great. He was kind and made a real effort to keep me comfortable. Without that, I might have slept in my car. The room was in bad shape. I saw several dead roaches and woke up to a live one in the bathroom, though I didn't see any bed bugs. It smelled like weed and cigarette smoke, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling.
