Pacific View Inn

It can be tough to find parking nearby, so I recommend paying for the hotel's $50-a-day lot if you can get a spot. There are only four spaces reserved for guests, so book ahead. The hotel lends out boogie boards, chairs, and other beach gear, and everyone there was wonderful to deal with. Rooms are on the small side but nice, and the location is great for the price.

My flight got in much earlier than expected, and the staff were sweet about letting me check in ahead of time. The room was clean and spacious, and it was an easy walk to the ocean and places to eat. I wish I'd caught the front desk ladies' names, but I really appreciated their kindness each time we interacted. I'd stay here again.

This is more of a modern motel than a full-service luxury hotel. There's no cooked breakfast, pool, elevator, or indoor hallway connecting the rooms, so keep that in mind. What you do get is a great view, low prices, and nice staff. My only real complaint was how overpowering the bleach smell was after the room had been cleaned. I left the windows open for a day before it cleared, though at least the room had been thoroughly cleaned.

We picked Pacific View for its location, knowing from the reviews that it wasn't a sleek luxury hotel with every amenity. The rooms were clean, the staff were awesome, and the water was just 10 yards away. It's also centrally located, so the location was exactly what we wanted.
