Sheraton Mission Valley San Diego Hotel

The staff were so friendly, and the atmosphere felt welcoming to everyone. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a smaller but adequate bathroom. It had a hairdryer, refrigerator, air purifier, iron and board, large desk, and large mirror. There are also large suites that worked well for the conference I attended. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool up to 5ft deep, a hot tub, and access for all guests to the fitness center next door. We had short drives to the USS Midway museum, the Gas Lamp Quarter, a farmers/street market, and old town, where we took the Whaley House tour. One night we used Lyft and waited only about 6 minutes for the ride. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Bring a mouse pad, or use a notebook, because the glass desk cover stops an optical mouse from moving. That’s my only complaint. It’s a little hidden, but easy enough to reach, and the older building looks well maintained. The rooms have the modern amenities you’d expect, plus plenty of easy-to-reach outlets. Everyone I’ve met on staff has been very friendly and eager to help. Great full-service hotel in Mission Valley.

Juan at the front desk made our visit from Phoenix, Arizona, smooth and enjoyable. He welcomed us warmly, was professional and genuinely kind, answered all our questions, and made check-in quick and easy. Travel can be stressful, but his positive attitude and attention to detail made us feel at home and made a real difference to our trip. The hospitality here has been amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

We expected a lot more from a Sheraton in the Marriott group, but this was a very disappointing stay. The room felt old, with several broken or rusted items and dust everywhere. Cleanliness and hygiene were far below an acceptable standard, and the tiny bathroom was uncomfortable and poorly maintained. There was also a problem with the parking charge. At check-in, the receptionist told us parking would be free after two days, but the night-shift receptionist later said it wasn’t free and started charging us. When we tried to explain what we’d been told and what the website said, she was rude, disrespectful, and raised her voice instead of listening. It was completely unprofessional. You can find a much better hotel in this area for the same price. I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you want to spare yourself the time, money, and unpleasant experience.
