The location made it easy to get to the freeway and the places we visited around San Diego and National City. Our room blocked freeway noise well. The A/C could get loud and woke me in the middle of the night a couple of times. There are elevators and stairs at both ends of the building, plus an outdoor staircase in the middle. We had a fridge and microwave in the room. We used the fridge, and its little freezer was just right for refreezing our ice packs. We didn't use the microwave. Breakfast included waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, apples, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea, and juice. The breakfast room TV was tuned to local news, which was nice. The room smelled strongly of bleach when we first came in, but at least I knew it had been sanitized and it was fairly clean. I'm glad they removed the carpet. Water pressure could be better, but the shower heated up quickly, so that worked out. I'd absolutely stay again. A pool might have been nice, but this was great value for the price.

The rooms were nicer than I expected, and the women at the front desk were really nice. I wasn't going to make a big issue of what happened, but the fire alarms didn't work and we might not have been evacuated if there were a fire. Wyndham sent me two different bots asking for feedback afterward, but did nothing to actually help. Don't stay here.

I asked for late checkout as a rewards member and was completely ignored. Why offer it as an option if no one will even answer? The elevator also wasn't working, and nobody told us, even though we were on the third floor with small children. Hair was scattered around the room when we arrived, and I'm not sure they clean properly. On the first night we found the TV didn't work. We asked about it every day and nothing happened until the night before we left. We also asked to have the sheets changed, but that wasn't done. After asking again, they put on sheets with cigarette burns. It's supposed to be a non-smoking place, but everyone was smoking and cigarette butts were everywhere. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, definitely not worth it. I'd run before booking here.

The worst part of my stay was an employee unlocking my door without asking, then accusing me of not paying. I had paid for everything. I found it alarming, and the receptionist didn't seem to see why it was a serious issue. The stay wasn't pleasant overall.
