If all you need is a roof and a floor, the location was surprisingly quiet, private, and felt relatively safe. My husband did appreciate the cable and Showtime. Beyond that, the stay was a mess. This isn't an Extended Stay America Hotel, and there didn't seem to be many travelers. We made last-minute holiday plans after traveling all day to visit family nearby, and the reputable places were either booked or very expensive. We'd liked having kitchens at extended stay hotels before, but this place felt more like a tenement. Some rooms marked non-smoking were clearly being smoked in. The building was poorly maintained, and our room was filthy and damaged. Supplies were scant and hard to get. There was no coffee maker, though they did put out a pot of coffee in the lobby in the morning. The kitchenette had no supplies at all, so we'd have had to buy everything, even Kleenex and paper towels. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable; the sheets had dirt or oil stains, the mattress pad appeared to have a bloodstain, and the small, thin towels were stained too. During the four days we were there, we saw one man cleaning rooms, but couldn't get a clean towel from him. The desk said housekeeping had to provide it, and we never got fresh towels to replace the stained ones. If you can overlook smears on the walls, damaged drywall, and sticky floors, you might manage, but it was entirely DIY. Update, two months later: my credit card was hacked after this stay, and I hardly use that card. There are very few other places that could have compromised it. Stay at your own risk and check your card afterward.

The first room key didn't work, and I found out someone was already inside. I got another room, but the dog urine smell hit so hard when I opened the door that I gagged. The carpet throughout was stained with what looked like animal urine, and there were holes in it. Worst hotel I've ever been to.

I asked for a street-level room when booking and was told one would open at 11:00 am, with confirmation to follow. Nobody confirmed, so I called. A rude person said there was no ground-floor room. When we got there at 11:00 am, I asked again just in case, and the girl said one might be ready at 2:00 pm if we could wait. We waited and came back at 2pm, but the same rude man again said no ground-floor room. We'd been given different information and had waited until 2pm to check in. The man was rude, and I don't recommend this hotel.

A major roof leak hit our room on Christmas Eve and ruined my and my wife's work laptops. They still haven't contacted us about reimbursement or the damage. The room was bad even before that: the fridge was extremely dirty, outdated and damaged, and the microwave was dirty inside. The floors felt sticky and didn't smell like bleach or anything. The tub was rusty and dirty, the pillows didn't smell clean, and the light looked water-damaged, with moldy stuff or old water around it. We were on the third floor, and despite no-smoking signs everywhere, the whole hotel smelled of smoke. It should be called an extended-stay motel, not a hotel.

We booked through booking.com, but at the desk they first said the hotel was overbooked, then claimed we hadn't paid. We showed proof of payment and got a horrible room anyway. The shower had no curtain and a clogged drain, the sheets didn't look clean, and there were no ice cups. We had problems right from the start and wouldn't stay again under any circumstances.
