For a show at Cow Palace, the location is amazing, just about an 8 minute walk. There's also a nearby local restaurant with great food and a small mini mart within walking distance. The outside of the rooms looks cute, and I would stay here again for a concert at the venue. For any other reason, I wouldn't, especially at this price. The location is surely why it's so expensive. Once inside, it was old, dated, dingy and a little dirty. Someone else's pee was still in the toilet when we checked in. The bed felt paper thin, with the springs right underneath. The A/C leaked on the floor. The shower floor was cracked and covered with a bath mat, but stepping on it felt like I might fall through. Water from the shower head sprayed up at the ceiling, and cold droplets landed on me while I showered. I added photos for reference.

If you're going to an event at the Cow Palace, this would be an awesome location. The neighborhood one block away wasn't great, and local food choices were extremely limited and not desirable. Room 102 was clean and big enough, and the bathroom was tiny but really clean. As I told my partner, I didn't plan to spend time in there. The linens and room were very clean, though the mattress was stiff as a board.

My husband and I booked two nights for our anniversary, but after he couldn't sleep at all the first night, we checked out and looked for somewhere better suited to us. We asked for the second night to be refunded because the accommodations were so poor, but the hotel wouldn't return our money once we'd checked in. Expedia tried to get the refund too, but couldn't. I feel the rooms are misrepresented, and that they know people may leave once they see them. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the pillows were soft. Most everything else was disappointing: the quarters were cramped, the toilet area so tiny it was hard to sit, and the shower was just as tight. The bathroom doesn't seem suited to larger people or anyone with disabilities. The bed was too firm. We'd booked two queen beds, and the online photos showed them side by side in one room, but they were actually in separate rooms. The room smelled musty and old. Parking was cramped enough that the passenger couldn't get out once we parked. Customer service wasn't friendly or accommodating and barely wanted to deal with us. I had read online that there was a continental breakfast, but saw no sign of it. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

The room was newly renovated and clean, which was a nice surprise. Parking was a bit complicated because construction is ongoing, but it wasn't too bad. We'd stay here again.
