Chateau Tivoli B&B

We were able to park nearby without trouble and felt safe, and there’s a lovely park within walking distance with a hilltop view over the city. The location worked well for our plans on both sides of San Francisco, from the sunset district to the wharf, since it’s easy to head either way. The staff were so welcoming that I felt at home as soon as we arrived. The building’s history comes through in all the little details in the rooms, and I’d love to stay in each one for a different experience. We were there as a couple, but it seems like a great fit for families too. Breakfast was included, and the avocado toast was delicious. They also had Yorkshire gold, my favorite tea. Thanks again, Kelly, for such a warm stay. I’d definitely come back.

Kelly, the hotel manager, was accommodating and fun to chat with, and she made our visit even better. We stayed at ChatEau Tivoli on my first trip to San Francisco, and the B&B felt cozy and welcoming, like home. Breakfast was great, especially the avocado toast, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The building is gorgeous and full of history, with colorful details and Victorian furniture everywhere. It’s right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of the painted ladies, Japan town, a cute weekly farmers market, and plenty more. I’m looking forward to stopping by next time I’m in SF.

The basement room with separate bedrooms worked perfectly for our family. The staff were lovely, and breakfast was homemade and fantastic. I loved coming back in the evening to the smell of warm bread baking. The old house is beautiful and spotless. I’m still impressed by this delightful B&B and hope to return soon.

That three-course breakfast was a highlight, and I’d recommend Chateau Tivoli without hesitation, even to a very discerning traveler. It’s a distinctive B&B in San Francisco that gives you a close feel for the city’s heritage, while keeping the cozy character of a boutique stay and the kind of service you’d expect from a reputable hotel.
