We were happy with our stay and would come back. The room was on the small side, but it was clean and comfortable, as I’ve come to expect at Courtyard, with nice decor. Service was very good, and the restaurant had good food and service, though it was a little pricey for a hotel in SF. They put out coffee in the lobby every morning, too. Union Square is about six blocks away. One issue: it was freezing in SF that week, and the lobby really needs better heating.

We only stayed overnight, and the hotel was quiet and within walking distance of the mall and other shops. It’s a decent option for a visit or a work trip. The rooms are a little tight, but clean, and the staff were very friendly. There’s a restaurant and bar in the hotel, though we didn’t try either. Pets are allowed for a fee. The location is around Union Square, close to the Tenderloin. I know some people are uneasy about that area, but it didn’t bother me. Valet parking is available, and if you’re paying to park in San Francisco anyway, I think valet makes sense.

For about half what I’ve paid at the Omni or Hilton up the way, this place was just as good or better. I came for a quick work overnight expecting the usual worn-out Tenderloin hotel under $400, but it was a great surprise. The whole place seemed to have been redone in the last year or two: spotless carpets, a king bed that felt new, and a nicely equipped bathroom with a fresh walk-in shower instead of a moldy tub setup. The front desk staff were welcoming and got me the late checkout I needed without a fuss. Housekeeping were friendly too. There were cookies and popcorn at check-in, plus spa water and inexpensive drinks during happy hour at the hotel bar. I really enjoyed the stay. Thanks!

Edmon Combat helped us at check-in and went out of his way to get us a higher-floor room after we mentioned it was our first time in San Francisco. We arrived before the 3:30 PM check-in, and the staff kindly held our bags. Everyone was helpful, and the one-night stay was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Edmon Combat made a real effort to get us a room on a higher floor when we asked, since this was our first visit to San Francisco. He also helped us with check-in, and everyone we met was warm and helpful. We got there before the official 3:30 PM check-in, but the staff stored our luggage for us. Our one night at the Courtyard by Marriott was delightful, with service that made the stay especially memorable. Highly recommended.
