Hotel Del Sol

The bed was comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly and responsive. The room had a faint musty smell, though, and the total price didn't feel justified. I don't mind paying $225 or more for a room, but this place wasn't worth that much to me. The $32 per day resort fee, including tax, came as a surprise at check-in. It feels like an unnecessary revenue fee for a property that isn't a resort, and it should be optional. Breakfast is among the included amenities, but not everyone values it.

The rooms were bright and clean, and I loved the shower. What really made the stay was how helpful the staff were. I couldn't find the parking gate when I arrived, and the woman on the phone patiently guided me in. Everyone was smiling and ready to help, and they took time to answer my questions properly. They also pointed out good seafood, walking routes to the Marina, and some parking tips. Just wonderful.

We enjoyed relaxing in the main courtyard, both at breakfast and later in the afternoon. Hotel Del Sol was a comfortable, convenient base, with friendly, welcoming staff and a well-kept room. It's a little gem, close to a lot of interesting places.

The morning offerings in the lobby were just right, and the coffee was excellent. The rooms were cozy and quiet, and those pillows were so divine I almost packed one in my luggage. Staff were warm and helpful. One man even walked a block ahead of our car to point out the overflow parking. We spent the weekend checking out the neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We'll definitely stay again soon.
