The free upgrade to a full suite was a lovely surprise. It was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable, and quiet, with everything spotless and well appointed. The staff were genuinely friendly from the moment I arrived and gave exceptional service. I had a fantastic stay at The Orchard Hotel and would highly recommend it.

There isn't valet or hotel parking. The staff can point you to nearby public garages, or you can try for paid street parking. We've stayed at this boutique hotel several times over the past couple of years. The rooms and suites are comfortable, with an oriental feel, and there's a filtered water dispenser. Chinatown, Union Square, and the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf are all walkable, with the cable car just steps away. There are neighborhood bars and a couple of good sushi places nearby too. The staff are outstanding, know their way around the City, and help make your stay better than expected.

The staff and location are the real standouts here. Everyone was friendly and quick to help with our requests from check-in onward, and there are plenty of food choices close by. The rooms are spacious and well cared for too. Highly recommend.

The location was great, and getting to BART from Powell station was easy for us. The front desk and other staff were very friendly. Our room was clean, and I especially liked the towels, they didn't feel thin, dry, or old. I'd stay here again.

Shane, the front office manager, was especially helpful with my bad back, and I'm very grateful. This cozy little hotel is in a great spot just off Union Square, away from the sketchier areas. My room was large and comfortable. Roxanne cafe is right next door, and there are other restaurants and bars nearby. I'd definitely recommend it if you're visiting the city and want to stay around here.
