Choice Hotels committed to using only cage-free eggs globally by the end of 2025, but has failed to meet that commitment and removed its timeline. In 2026, it's unacceptable that companies still profit from keeping chickens in cruel cages for their entire lives to get low-cost eggs. Please boycott this company until it reinstates its cage-free commitment.

This review is about Choice Hotels' corporate practices, not so much the staff at this location. In 2020, Choice Hotels made a cage-free commitment for the female chickens in its egg supply chain. It has made little progress and even removed its timeline. When a company announces intentions as a public relations move and then makes no meaningful progress, it deceives customers. The average customer may think the company is following through on its animal welfare commitment and feel better about patronizing it, while battery cages, the worst form of animal abuse, remain in use. These companies know this and will keep profiting from animal abuse as long as they aren't held accountable for sharing progress through third-party verification, for example. How long would you keep a dog or cat in a small travel carrier before calling it animal abuse? Egg-laying hens are forced to spend their shortened lifespan of 1.5 years in battery cages, with less individual space than a standard sheet of paper. In overcrowded metal cages, they can't engage in natural behaviors, which causes stress, health issues, and severe suffering. Choice Hotels needs to reinstate its timeline, release a clear plan to reach 100% cage-free, and address the remaining supply gaps in Asia and Latin America to ensure global equity.

We stayed for 13 days and had no issues. The place was very clean, and the staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was filling and always fully stocked. Housekeeping came every other day, which worked for us. We also used the laundry room. The machines worked well, and we could get quarters at the front desk.

The waffles at breakfast were amazing, and all the food was nice and hot and clean. We really appreciated the good service and the hotel's cleanliness. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone on staff was so kind. Special shout-out to Jackie, who checked us in on Saturday, and the kind ladies at the counter when we left Monday morning. We'll definitely stay again.
