Melrose River Club

Max and Mel were wonderful hosts, and they've made this place a real destination. Our small casita was just right for us, clean and comfortable, with the expected amenities and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The private outdoor shower was a nice extra. We relaxed by the clean pool, where the bar was well stocked and there were private spots to sit. We also walked the trails, sat by the river, and enjoyed the surrounding nature. There's no restaurant, but plenty of places to eat nearby in San Marcos. A great place to unwind, and we'll be back.

We picked Melrose for our first anniversary and had such a lovely stay. The cabin was immaculate, which matters a lot to me when I rent a place, and the team made our dog feel welcome. Being right by the river is hard to beat. This place is a gem, and we'll definitely return.

Everyone made our weekend feel warm and fun, from the bartenders and front desk staff to the owner. The cabins had character and were cozy and clean, and the hospitality was top-tier. Margaret was especially kind before our visit and went above and beyond with customer service. It was a 10/10 experience, and we're already planning to return and make this a tradition.

We’re already eager to plan another trip, and I can see this becoming a tradition for my boyfriend and me several times a year. He surprised me with a birthday stay, and the staff made it feel extra special by decorating the cabana he rented. Margret was so sweet and accommodating, making sure we had what we needed, even leaving the fire pit materials ready for us. The owners set up chairs and mimosas by the river, and the access and views are unmatched. The pool and bar are gorgeous too. The modern tiny Homes are cozy and just the right size. Such a great adult glamping stay.
