Everything you need is there, and the units are very clean. It feels comfortable and homey, and I felt really safe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I’d highly recommend it and would come back.

It’s easy to get on and off US101, and the hotel is near downtown San Rafael, Dominican University, and some hiking and mountain biking trails. The family owners are friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the location. Breakfast isn’t much, but that doesn’t matter to me personally. They do have tea, coffee, and complimentary sodas.

Free breakfast comes with good coffee and muffins, and parking is easy. The caretakers are friendly, and you can get great daily cleaning if you want it. It’s an old motel that’s been lovingly made into a great place to stay in Marin County, close to everything. One thing to watch for: some electrical outlets are controlled by switches. We didn’t charge our phones the first night because of that. We’ll come back.

The room was clean, and the people working there were nice, friendly, and courteous. Getting on and off the freeway is easy since it’s just off 101. But the cleaning product smell in our room was overwhelming, and we were close to the office, where the lights were far too bright for comfortable sleeping. The curtains also let in more light than we liked.

Norma checked me in and was friendly and very helpful. The lodge was cute, quiet, and clean, with a comfortable bed. I stayed one night, and it was close to the freeway as well as shops and restaurants.
