Hotel Zessa Orange County Airport, a DoubleTree by Hilton

We decided to eat somewhere else on our second night, even though the hotel's restaurant was good. The hosts recommended a place, took us there, then came back to pick us up after we called. That's service! The staff were very nice and helpful throughout, and the rooms, bar, and restaurant were all nice. The showers have awesome water pressure, they'll knock your socks off!

Parking costs an additional $34 per night, so keep that in mind. The location felt nice and safe, and I was pleasantly surprised after being a little worried by some negative reviews. My room was spacious and looked clean, and I checked the bed myself, spotless. Service was attentive, cordial, and professional. The gym doesn't have a lot of equipment, but you can get a light workout in if you're creative. The restaurant food and room service were good too.

The room was comfortable, very nice, and had plenty of space, including lots of room to hang clothes. At check-in, the front desk staff were helpful and answered all my questions. I also really appreciated seeing a Rosary, Crucifix, and Catholic Bible in the nightstand. Thank you for that.

Our 2am walk-in was accommodated, which gave me a good first impression. The next morning changed that. We waited 30 minutes just to get coffee. Staff said they'd be back soon, but nobody showed up. When we finally got our drinks, the order was wrong even though I'd repeated it several times. Then I noticed a $34 parking charge on the receipt, which hadn't been mentioned at check-in. I appreciate management trying to make things right, but this didn't meet what I expect from the Hilton brand.
