Beachside Inn

The staff kept smiling and stayed positive while dealing with some flooding from the unusual rainstorm during our visit. Kevin at the front was especially pleasant and gave us good food suggestions for where we were dining. The Beachside Inn is a quaint little hotel with good service, a nice breakfast, and a wine and cheese happy hour every night. I’d definitely stay again.

The location is great, and the hotel felt clean and safe. It’s pretty average, though, and still has the feel of the Best Western it used to be. The continental breakfast and coffee do the job. I know I’ve seen mostly one- and five-star reviews, but my stay was just adequate. Nothing special, and the bathtubs especially show their age.

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel, with hot and cold choices, including gluten-free options. The room where it was served felt like a cute cafe, with music playing. They also offer a free wine, cheese, and grape happy hour. The front desk staff were very friendly, and our room smelled fresh and clean. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it!

The breakfast buffet was nice, and the coffee was good. We had a problem with the sliding glass door, but staff fixed it promptly and were available and helpful. It’s a clean motel within walking distance of restaurants and the beach. A path for walking or biking takes you to the pier, and there’s a small playground across the street by the ocean. There’s also a big grassy area on the hotel’s north side.
