Hotel Virginia Santa Barbara, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

They even kept our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy Santa Barbara right up until the last hour. The room was spotless and beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great time riding bikes around town, and the location can’t be beat. Our stay was perfect, and I’d definitely come back.

The location is great and the staff were great too, but is this place worth $400 a night? Absolutely not. We booked two nights, including Valentine’s night, and left after the first. We were in Room 207. The room smelled, the mattress was awful, and the parking tower light shone into our room so we couldn’t sleep all night. We politely said we had a family emergency and needed to leave, then asked for a refund. We were told we’d get $46. We canceled our Valentine’s dinner and drove back to carmel by the sea. It’s a boutique hotel? Come to carmel and you’ll see what a boutique hotel is. God bless.

Judy was especially amazing, and all the staff were great. The rooms were super clean and nice, and you can walk to so many shops and restaurants. I’ll 100% stay here again.

Come here for the location right off State Street. I’ve stayed a few times, and that’s the main thing I keep noticing. The rooms and service are average, and there aren’t on-site facilities like a gym or office area. The bar is small too. For State Street, the price is reasonable compared with other hotels there. If you want a nicer hotel, there are more expensive options on State. If you’d rather stay off State, the Hyatt is next to the ocean and can sometimes cost about the same as the Hilton.
