Sandpiper Lodge

I booked through Expedia with the option to pay at the property, but the hotel tried to charge my card a day before arrival. I used a card with no money on it, so now they won't get my money at all. They also messaged me right away on Expedia about the charge. I replied immediately and sent two more messages, but got no response. They had time to change my card and contact me, yet couldn't acknowledge my replies. Screw this place.

The room had a big shower, bathroom, and closet, plus a mini fridge and coffee maker. It was large, clean, colorful, and smelled great. They supplied a hair dryer, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, wet wipes, regular and decaf coffee, and tea. Breakfast is all you can eat, and there's also a pool and hot tub. I got a great deal through Agoda.

We stayed in a suite with plenty of space for our family to unwind. It was quiet, roomy, and very kid-friendly, and everything felt comfortable and well looked after. The hotel was really clean, the rooms were just right, and the service was excellent. The price felt fair too. We loved our stay and are already planning to return with the family. Highly recommend!

We stay at this hotel fairly often and usually have a great time, but management needs to address an employee who repeatedly cones off the handicapped parking space so he can charge his non-handicapped car there. There are EV charging spaces available. Even without those, blocking an ADA space for personal convenience is illegal and inconsiderate. If it happens on another stay, I'll call for a tow. A reputable hotel should ensure staff follow the law and respect accessible parking. And if management is the one doing this, that's even worse. They should know better. I'll have the vehicle towed if I see it again.
