The location is beautiful, and it’s only a 10-minute drive from downtown SC. The staff were generally very nice and capable. Our king room included two drink vouchers for the restaurant, up to $17 each. The drinks were great, and I recommend the truffle fries. Service took a while, but the outdoor view at sunset was beautiful. The towels and bedding were clean, and they left two complimentary water bottles in the mini fridge. The pool and gym had decent hours, though I didn’t get to try either. The pool closed at 10pm. I paid $260 after taxes through their website, and honestly, I was pretty upset by the bed. It felt cheap, the polyester bedding was horrendous, and the mattress was worse than most motels. I asked about a late checkout because of the time change, but they couldn’t tell me then and said I’d have to call the next day. They hadn’t even painted the bathroom door all the way, and you could see the primer. The room decor was bizarre, almost like a pediatrician’s office. Also, keep in mind that spa services cost at least $250 and include a required 20% tip.

Everything was so quiet in the deep forest, and the air felt really fresh. My wife and I spent two nights here over a weekend and found it very relaxing. There’s a lot on site: a pool, hot tub, large fitness center, and tennis court. I especially liked the adult-only pool and hot tub. The food was good and reasonably priced, and all the staff were courteous. The facilities are a little outdated, but given the location, price, and range of services, I’d strongly recommend this resort.

We stopped at chaminade for the night while driving through California. It’s a beautiful resort with lots of amenities, and one of the best on-site gyms I’ve seen. We had trouble with the sink, but Miguel, their wonderful maintenance man, came to the rescue. He was personable and really good at his job. The front staff provided great service too. I’d definitely recommend it.

My husband and I spent New Year’s Day there for our 18th wedding anniversary, and even the stormy rain couldn’t have made it more perfect. The resort was lovely, and our room was clean and comfortable. The robes they provided were great. We also had massages and a facial at the spa, and both were wonderful. I had the hydra facial, which made my skin look and feel amazing. Everyone was so nice and went above and beyond. I’m terrible with names and wish I could remember the two ladies who did my treatments. No complaints, can’t wait to go back.

After my Signature massage with Karen, I felt energized enough to hike the Blue Trail and then have breakfast. First, I took a luxurious shower, then enjoyed the hot tub and steam room. What an amazing experience, 10 stars. The Chaminade Spa had me relaxed as soon as I walked in. I’d suggest changing into the robe and slippers before your service so you’re ready for the massage table. Karen has such a warm, loving presence that puts you at ease right away, but her gentle manner shouldn’t fool you. She worked through every bit of tension, stress, and strain. It was a phenomenal massage. My gratitude.
