Ocean Luxury Lofts and Suites

The place looks pretty and cozy, but it hasn’t been a nice stay. The toilets don’t work, there aren’t enough pillows and the ones there aren’t comfortable, and the cleaning staff enter the room even when the do not disturb sign is up. EDIT: Never mind, there are huge cockroaches 😟

The noise from the bar downstairs went on until 2am, with music pounding through the walls and floors. Housekeeping also came into our room several times: at 8am to take towels stored in a cupboard there for other guests, then later to ask when we were checking out despite our having another night booked. We even saw a drunk man passed out on the stairs. I didn’t feel safe or clean there. Getting into the building and apartment was a struggle from the start. We had to call the owner repeatedly for access codes, and nobody was responsive or helpful. Communication about parking was especially bad, and when we asked for WiFi, we were ignored. Inside, the apartment was filthy, dated, damaged, and clearly not properly cleaned. The curtains had large red stains, the bed was covered in hairs and marks as if it hadn’t been changed, the lighting barely worked, and the bathroom was vile. The bath had grime and stray hairs, and the towels looked used and smelled dirty. This was the most revolting, nightmarish place we’ve ever booked through booking.com. It was massively overpriced, unhygienic, and poorly managed, and felt like a total scam. Avoid it completely. This business should be removed from every booking platform. Booking here is throwing away your money and putting your safety at risk.

Communication with the owner, Bob, was great, and the room was good. I arrived before my reserved time, and he arranged an early check-in. He also did what he could to find parking, but there wasn’t any available, so he suggested a nearby garage since I was only there for the night. I’ll book again.

We couldn’t sleep because the bar below our room had a DJ playing until 2:30am, and the room was shaking. Parking and key directions were a huge hassle, and management was very rude. At check-in our room still wasn’t ready. It was dirty, and plumbing problems meant we couldn’t shower or use the restroom until evening. The outlets wouldn’t hold chargers either. A very awful stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
