We felt safe, the place was quiet, and the room was clean and updated, with comfortable beds and pillows. The staff were really great, and we'd definitely stay again. The reservation price we got by calling the number on Google Maps was said to include the pet fee. It didn't. They added it at check-in. Just be honest about that.

The bedding was clean and very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water that came quickly. The hotel is older but was renovated recently. Benito was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, and the breakfast staff were friendly too. For the money, it's probably the best place in Santa Rosa.

We didn't make it five minutes in the room before finding a live roach in the curtain while unpacking. The room had seemed clean at first. One woman at the front desk had been kind and helpful, but the other was rude and said we couldn't get a refund because we'd booked through Expedia. We actually could, and they ended up charging us double. The roach was in room 203, facing west toward the sunset. Other reviews say complaints were later denied, which led to refunds being refused through third-party apps like Expedia. Get written proof if you complain. I've included a photo of the roach.

The outside is pretty rundown and could use a good sweeping and pressure washing, but inside the rooms are in great shape and very clean. Breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel, with fresh homemade salsa, fresh rolls, eggs, sausage, pancakes, and the usual breakfast foods.
