For around $500 a night, I found the Inn extremely overpriced. Maybe $150 a night would've made sense. The breakfast was fine, though nothing special, and my third-floor room was okay. Those stairs would be very hard for anyone with even mild mobility issues. Service felt mediocre too: if you run out of towels or toilet paper, good luck getting more. There's only Roku, with no live TV for news or a game, which seems like a poor choice these days. I'd give the place a C, just okay.

I'd never stayed at a B&B before and was worried it might feel like sharing space with strangers. Even with all eight rooms occupied on our first night, everyone was considerate, and I felt comfortable. Jenn and Steve were around when we wanted them but gave us room to do our own thing. Jenn's three-course breakfasts at 9:30 were a morning highlight, filling me up until dinner. Everything was homemade, and she's a skilled baker and chef who takes care with both the food and its presentation. The house has eight private bedrooms, each with its own bath, luxurious bedding, soft pillows, and a great mattress. I loved my pillow enough to order one for home! From my first messages with Jenn, the innkeeper, through check-in with Steve and Jimmy, we felt welcome and happy with our choice. Steve and Jimmy greeted us with wine, shared some history about the building and area, and suggested restaurants and things to do. Hotels weren't available within Saugatuck, so I'm especially glad we chose Judson Heath. I highly recommend staying at Judson Heath and letting Jimmy, Jenn, and Steve show you their sweet little town.

The breakfasts were inventive, delicious, and served in several courses. They worked around our dietary restrictions, and Jenn, Steve, and Jimmy, the dog, were such gracious hosts. Our room at Judson Heath Colonial Inn was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and we got terrific suggestions for dining and things to do over the weekend. We had a great visit and would absolutely come back on our next trip to Saugatuck.

We've been coming to Heathcote for years with our family and love how the historic home works for us. Since it's pet friendly, our fur babies can join us, and the fenced yard is handy. Off-street parking is another plus. The location also works well for teenagers and adults who want to walk into town and enjoy Saugatuck.

The room was comfortable and clean, and we loved the location. The house itself and its history are wonderful, and breakfast was amazing. Most of all, Jenn and Steve put real effort into making a stay memorable and enjoyable. We loved everything about our time at Judson Heath Colonial Inn. Highly recommend!
