The construction outside didn't bother me since I was out of the room during the day, and they waived the pet fee and covered my breakfast. The elevator to the suites is out of order right now, but the stairs are right beside the working elevator and only half a flight up or down. My dog and I had a great time. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was super clean, and the double shower heads were a nice surprise. The shrimp and grits were delicious, and the location is excellent. I'd definitely return.

I chose Hotel Indigo Savannah after having a great experience there before, but this visit left me a little disappointed. The lobby's post-industrial look, like the Indigo I visited in Pittsburgh, appealed to me. My room was clean, well kept, comfortable, and had a pleasant river view. The road nearby didn't cause a noise problem. Reception staff were generally attentive, but I never felt welcomed at check-in or in later interactions. The lobby bar was a different story: the staff were genuinely friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel restaurant's food was very good, but the breakfast setup felt inadequate, especially since it was an option I selected when booking. The coupons were meant to cover two adults but only paid for two dishes; I had to pay extra for my two children, drinks, and other items. The stay was good, just not outstanding. A warmer greeting at reception and a more complete breakfast offering would make a big difference.

The dessert bar was off the chain, with every option fresh, creative, and delicious. Chef Thomas also nailed dinner at Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District in Savannah: the lamb chops were tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right, while the surf and turf paired perfectly prepared steak and seafood. The food and atmosphere made for a fantastic evening. Highly recommend it for a special night out. We'll be back.

The lounge and complimentary drinks were nice, and the hotel's handy for dining and shopping, just one block from River St. It has history and could be much better, but I probably wouldn't stay again. I've stayed in worse places, though. Renovations meant guests had to fend for themselves, with elevators out of service and the entranceway blocked. I waited a long time to be greeted by an unenthusiastic clerk. The building didn't feel secure either, since anyone could enter and the working elevators didn't need a key card. The bed was uncomfortable, like a 30 year old spring-coil mattress.

Wouldn't recommend staying here. The staff were RUDE!!!!! The breakfast was expensive and looked like it was served for people in prison. At least the rooms were nice, and the valet was nice too. The hotel bar staff were friendly, though maybe that's because you tip them. What happened to southern hospitality? lol
