The Bluff Savannah Historic District, Tapestry by Hilton

The quieter pace at The Bluff worked out well for us, even though we'd originally hoped to stay closer to the river. We came for an event and had to choose from a set of hotels. Staff were very kind and helpful, and there are designated rides to and from the river if you don't want to drive. We were pleased with how clean and quiet the hotel was, and the beds and bedding were comfortable. The mattresses bounce a lot, though, so if you share a bed you may feel every little movement and wake up. We didn't eat breakfast there because of our schedule, but it smelled amazing. Foxtail is around the corner, and Crave is close enough to walk to for lunch or dinner. We'd gladly stay again and recommend it.

Not having an on-site gym or pool was a drawback for me since I like to work out on trips. They offer a pass to a local gym, which helps, but I prefer having facilities right at the hotel. I also requested a robe and the one brought up had visible stains. We picked The Bluff Hotel in Savannah at the last minute after our usual suites were unavailable, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The modern hotel is close to the river, shops, and restaurants, with easy self-parking and a simple drive in and out of the city. The rate was reasonable for the area. Our room was decent and the bathroom had been cleaned recently, but the sofa fabric and some stained, marked walls could use attention. The products were great, and the Nespresso machine was a nice extra. Despite those small misses, we enjoyed the stay and would consider coming back for a night.

The trolley the hotel provided made it easy to get to a few spots, and the location was wonderful for visiting the Riverfront. The hotel itself was very nice. As a Hilton's Honors member, I've got used to breakfast being complimentary. It was mentioned at check-in, but when we went down Saturday morning, we were told there was no buffet and that we'd have to pay. The food was cold, too.

Breakfast cost extra, though the price was reasonable. Gracia, who made it, was so nice and cooked delicious omelettes, and the gentleman serving the food was attentive too. The little hotel had spacious, comfortable rooms that felt luxurious. We enjoyed it.
