The Presidents' Quarters Inn

For race morning, they knew we'd miss breakfast and left us a bag of homemade muffins. There was a handwritten note inside, and honestly, it made me tear up. Breakfast the morning we did have it was delicious, and everyone made us feel welcome from beginning to end. I stayed here in November for the Every Woman's Marathon. The location is gorgeous and lets you walk easily to everything. People even stopped on the street to point out how nice the place looked. I’m still thinking about it two months later. Thanks again, y'all. 10/10 recommend.

Gracen checked us in, patiently answered all our questions, and shared loads of local tips. Scarlett made each morning feel special. We didn’t meet the chefs or housekeeping team, but their work showed: breakfast was delicious every day and the inn was spotless. Our King room was huge, with high ceilings, a roomy bathroom, and a fireplace. It looked freshly painted, and the carpet seemed newer too. The historic inn sits right in the middle of Savannah's historic district, with popular sights, squares, restaurants, and the river all an easy walk away. We loved our short visit to Presidents Quarters Inn and hope to return soon.

Parking attached to a place to stay in historic downtown is so unusual, and I loved being able to leave the car there while we walked everywhere. Presidents' Quarters Inn sits right on Oglethorpe Square. That perk alone would bring me back, and the staff keep it at the top of my list. Dan, Kara, Scarlett, and Brandon were all so kind and helpful. They stored our cooler, let us park early before check-in, and kept my snacks in their fridge. I felt as if I’d known them my whole life. They love Savannah and what they do. That's the sort of warmth I'd choose over Charleston's self-importance any day. My daughter and I stayed from March 23rd to 27th while visiting SCAD, shopping, eating, and soaking up Savannah's prolific ambiance. She's 17 and fell in love with the city, just as I did. My brother suggested P.Q. Inn, and it was my best Savannah trip yet, after several visits and stays in inns, hotels, and Air B&Bs. We didn’t meet the chefs, but we loved their work. My daughter's favorite foods in Savannah were the bacon and raspberry pastries at the P.Q.Inn, along with fried chicken at the Olde Pink House. That's saying something! I like old buildings for their history and charm. They have quirks: creaky floors, chipped paint, and windows that aren't sealed like modern ones. I'll take that over a sterile new place. If old places aren't your thing, stay somewhere new. I choose the historic district for the art, architecture, and buildings dating back to the 1700s. You may hear a horse clopping by or a tour guide talking about a nearby building. My room faced the 17hundred90 Inn, ground zero for ghost tours. They weren't overly loud and didn't go past 10:30 at night. I was there the same week as the previous reviewer who said the noise kept him up past Midnight, and that just isn't true. Savannah cuts noise off by 11 pm, usually closer to 10 or 10:30. Everything is walkable, and you can move your car if you want without spending hours looking for another spot. I’ll absolutely stay again in the city I love. I’ve sadly read that a larger developer bought the inn and intends to expand over the current parking lot. I love Presidents' Quarters Inn as it is. I understand old buildings cost a lot to maintain, and the room rates are in line with other hotels, many of which don't face the expense of caring for a historic building. Selfishly, I hope the sale falls through. The parking got them to the top of my list, and the people keep them there. We had delicious breakfasts and a room with all the basic amenities we needed. The bed and breakfast was comfortable, and our hosts were so pleasant they made the stay even better than we expected.
