Quality Inn Scottsbluff

We stayed because reviews said the place was nice and clean, but it was far from clean. The room was falling apart, with a disgusting moldy shower, white stuff down the side of the bed, and black light switches and knobs. The side door into the hotel was broken, and the parking lot had broken down cars, one of which looked like someone was living in it. Breakfast looked gross and was a joke. While we were there, people upstairs hammered away at something until after 9 pm. We had to call the desk to make them stop. I don't recommend staying here. It's a hole in the wall.

It's an older building that's been updated, and the place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options, including eggs, sausage patties, waffles, cereal, toast, and yogurt. The beds were comfortable too. I'd stay here again.

The owner, who also manages the place, was consistently very nice. My room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. But the air conditioner blew air that smelled moldy, the property looked run down, and the hallway carpets were filthy. I wouldn't stay here again.

The room stayed hot, sticky, and muggy despite running the air conditioner all day. The daytime temperature had been 95 degrees. The man at the desk offered a fan and blamed us for setting the air conditioner too low. He said it had to be set at 65° to work. We left it there and sweated all night. The air conditioner never worked. The customer service was friendly enough, but there were so many problems. We booked through the choice hotels website because its description listed a hot tub, which was the reason we chose the hotel. Check-in seemed fine until we went looking for it at 10 pm. The sign outside said pool and whirlpool, but inside there was only a pool. There was a shut-off button for a hot tub, but no hot tub. At that hour, going to another hotel wasn't an option, so we went back to our room.
