Days Inn by Wyndham Scottsbluff

The entire place smelled off. They’re remodeling, so I’m interested to see how it looks when it’s updated, but my first room was still being worked on and I had to walk back to the front desk for another. Then the new room had no soap, shampoo, or anything, so I had to go back again. The staff helped, but I wish I hadn’t needed to ask.

The man at the front desk was helpful and quickly got us another room when I reported mold in the shower and a room that hadn’t been cleaned in a while. He explained there were many things he had to fix and apologized again. The second room with two beds was okay, though one of the top blankets wasn’t clean. Our bed was clean, the shower had hot water, and the coffee in the morning was great.

The beds were uncomfortable, the towels felt like sandpaper, and there were lots of gross stains in the bathroom. The lobby, hallways, and room all smelled awful, and breakfast was terrible. The walls are so thin that noisy people next door kept us awake all night. I was afraid to touch anything. This place needs a serious update and remodel, and it was a huge waste of money. Stay across the street at the Comfort Inn instead. It’s MUCH better and has a pool.

The rooms have been nicely updated and are clean with nice furnishings. The bathroom floor gets really slippery when wet. We found out the pool was still being redone and almost went somewhere else, but the front desk guy was so friendly and helpful that we stayed.
