The room was filthy, with bugs, dirt, and debris on the floor, hair on the beds, stained sheets, and paint peeling from the tub and shower. There was no hot water during the 15 minutes I waited, and one lamp had no bulb. The floors and walls had obvious stains, and much of the furniture had been painted over, with paint on the sheets too. The pool couldn’t be used, though we were there in the off season. Getting in and out was a mess. We were given separate keys for the hallway door and the room, and neither door closed on its own. Staff told us to make sure both latched behind us. Ring cameras watched the hallway and office, but the outside doors were unsecured. The building looked just as bad outside, with AC panels hanging or missing, bare wires, and liquor bottles and cigarettes in the lot. There were maybe eight free parking spots. We had to wait at check-in and check-out for a worker to arrive by car from another location. The person who checked us in said he wasn’t even on duty, but had seen us waiting outside, so he opened the locked office, filled out a clipboard, and walked us to the room. At checkout, the man insisted we didn’t know how to use the shower and kept asking to show us. The room cost far too much for what we got. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. If you absolutely need somewhere to stay, sleep in your car instead. Don’t be fooled by the owners’ pictures, the place is trashed.

We had a nice stay in one of the hotel’s apartments. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and it was close to the boardwalk.

Abdul at the front desk made me feel like family, and everyone I dealt with was so friendly that it seemed they truly cared about my stay. Even the calls before I booked were great. The location was also good for staying away from the boardwalk noise, and the espresso machine was the best part of my mornings.

We left because of the chaos, including minors drinking in the hallways, but they charged us anyway after we said we would not stay. The owner promised to mail a refund by check and never did. We called several times and he hung up on us. When we drove back to ask about the money and the unauthorized charge, he threatened to have us removed. He’s a thief and con artist. The place was filthy. The lobby was probably the nicest part, maybe to disguise how old the rooms and mattresses were. The blankets looked like they were from the 60s and smelled unwashed. There were mouse droppings in the corners, stains on the rug, and a dirty toilet. This feels like a hotel where the owners enable teenagers to get drunk. Avoid it if you don’t want to be scammed and hit with an unauthorized charge after being told you wouldn’t be charged.

We’d been to Seaside many times, and this was one of our best stays. The hotel is in a nice area of the beach, about three blocks from the boardwalk. The room was clean and updated, and you couldn’t tell they allowed pets since there were no odd smells. The ice machine was broken when we arrived, but the owner got it fixed quickly and let us know. We’d booked three nights, then decided to add one more. The owner quickly found us another room so we could extend. You get what you get when you come to Seaside, and we had a great time here.
