When some relatives were displaced and we needed somewhere at the last minute, this budget motel was just what we needed. Mr. Singh, the manager, understood the situation and kindly helped us make arrangements. It’s also within walking distance of both the airport and the light rail station.

The shuttle driver was kind, and we enjoyed talking with him. The staff we met were friendly. But the room was truly disgusting, with cockroaches scurrying around, old crushed food under the bed and along the walls, stained bedding, other people’s hair everywhere, and wrappers and debris all over the floors and chair crevices. Almost everything felt extremely dirty and unsanitary. We would’ve left for somewhere else if we weren’t flying out early in the morning.

I’ve given most places I review four or five stars, but this is the sketchiest hotel I’ve ever walked into as an adult. They charge a $100 deposit on top of the regular rate, which isn’t unheard of, but it wasn’t listed on the booking site. Worse, they hold it for TEN DAYS. They also don’t want to refund the reservation, so I’ll have to dispute the charge with my company. This feels like a scam. Avoid the place.

They advertise a low online rate, then tell you when you arrive that it’s $80 plus a $100 security deposit. None of that was made clear beforehand. If you’ve traveled tired, arrived late, or are on a budget, it seems like they’re counting on you to accept the extra cost once you’re already there. That’s bait-and-switch pricing and a dishonest way to do business. With so many airport hotels around, I’d go elsewhere and save myself the frustration.
