The hotel is in a great spot, and even though the rooms feel dated, ours was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The parking cost was the real shock: $25 per night, plus tax. For four nights, that came to $122.

The hotel itself was pretty clean, had free coffee, and was in a cool location. It was otherwise a decent place, which makes the way we were treated even more disappointing. At about 10:30, the front desk told us a guest below had complained about banging, luggage, and screaming kids. None of that was happening. We were speaking normally and walking around while getting ready for bed. The staff member warned us we'd be made to leave if we didn't quiet down, as though the accusation had already been proven. After that, the kids sat quietly on the bed while the adults finished getting ready. Another complaint came in anyway. We explained that we'd tried to keep things down and were being blamed for something we hadn't done. We had paid for the room too, and should have been able to exist in it. Staff said they thought the people downstairs might be lying to get a free room, but nobody apologized for accusing us or threatening to kick us out. It left us feeling unwelcome, almost like criminals, on a trip we were trying to enjoy.

A good budget place to sleep for a night or two, especially if you're sightseeing and don't want to spend much. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the building seemed reasonably well maintained. Pretty much what you'd expect from a cheap hotel.

The person I spoke with at the front desk was helpful and changed how I felt about the place, and most of my stay was great. For downtown Seattle, this is probably one of the more economical options, as long as you keep expectations reasonable. What bothered me was finding a parking fee on my card statement. I called today and learned what the charge was, but nobody had disclosed it when I booked, and I couldn't find it on the booking site. It was substantial, almost half of what I paid for four nights. I understand downtown hotels charge fees, but people should know the full price before deciding. With that information, someone might choose a place just outside downtown or look at other options. I wish they were upfront about the total cost. Transparency matters here. Thanks.
