Shangri La Motel

I used to come here often without any problems. Then one day the floor felt really dirty, and I had nothing to clean it with, so I used their towels. They were black and filthy afterward, and the hotel charged me for them, even though I’d only used them to clean the floor. I never went back.

I’m changing my rating from five stars to one. When I came back for a second stay, the owners wouldn’t let my daughter check in. They said I could call to get my money back, then refused my call and hung up. My daughter ended up at the motel down the street, while Shangra La kept my money. They’d probably already rented her room to someone else. It’s a shame they treated her so poorly and didn’t recognize her as a returning customer who had left them a glowing review after her last visit.

The owners are very compassionate, and they’ve become friends of ours. We’ve been staying here while our plans have changed temporarily because of Covid, and it’s been great. The rooms are very clean and have been remodeled, with a beautiful entertainment center, wall lights, a phone, and more. Everyone is friendly and accommodating with whatever you need, and it’s close to all the conveniences. We switched around for our own reasons. Blessings to all, and thank you. Blessings, C.R. & S.G.

The check-in made me uncomfortable because they kept focusing on the $50 hold on my card, which made me feel as if I’d done something wrong. It’s a basic roadside motel without even basics like coffee or a breakfast muffin. The simple room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. Route 6 is very busy, and the traffic noise is quite noticeable.
